Neither myself or The man are the broody, parental type. I think I completely lack the gene that most women are born with that compel them to procreate.
Most women my age already have at least 1 child and those friends of mine that don't constantly tell me how much they wish they had kids. They already know how many they want and what their names will be!
Is there something wrong with me that I am completely content being childless? I am in my early 30's so there is time, but I don't have any desire to be a mother. I am happy with my four legged child! Not many people, especially other women understand that. Perhaps I don't understand it either, but it works for me!
I love kids. I also love giving them back to their parents at the end of the day :)
I don't have a hectic career that I am focusing on so there is no EXCUSE for not having kids, this is a choice.
Basically through a discussion on this very topic with The man, Project "Crazy has a Baby" was born. We decided to delve into the world of babies purely on a investigative level, to see just how much money kids cost on a monthly basis starting from pregnancy. We will then save this money, seeing as though we are choosing not to have the little buggers, to spend on the thing in life we both love - travel.
Along the way hopefully I will come across some other interesting bits and pieces and do some research on women who feel the same way I do on the subject.
